Parmesan and Romano Beef

  • 1 package RICE-A-RONIĀ® Rustic Recipesā„¢ Parmesan & Romano
  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1-1/4 cups water
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup frozen peas (optional)
  • 1 minced garlic clove (optional)

Preparation Steps

  1. In medium saucepan, cook 1 lb. ground beef or turkey until no longer pink; drain.
  2. Stir in rice, 1 1/4 cups water and 1 Tbsp. olive oil; bring to a boil.
  3. Cover, reduce heat to low and simmer 22-28 min. or until rice is tender and most of water is absorbed.
  4. Stir in 1/2 cup milk and Special Seasonings. Return to a boil; stir and cook 1-2 min. or until most of liquid is absorbed. Cover and let stand 3-5 min. before serving.

Tips and Variations

  • Add 1 cup frozen peas and 1 minced garlic clove when stirring in milk and Special Seasonings.
